11th international Sour Oil and Gas advanced Technology (SOGAT) conference
This year the Sour Oil and Gas Advanced Technology (SOGAT) Conference will present workshops on gas compression, amine treating, and sour gas treating and simulation proficiency, and will take place in the Beach Rotana Hotel, Abu Dhabi.
Sour gas exploration and production is not limited to the Middle East given the considerable concentrations of sour gas located elsewhere in the world.
The technologies involved in sour field management and production are always progressing, and the latest developments across the whole management spectrum will play a major part in the successful extraction of the necessary gas, together with the beneficial uses of the carbon dioxide (CO2) injection replacing natural gas injection for enhanced oil recovery (EOR) in which the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) plans to commence with in early 2016.
The two-day workshop on gas compression technologies will cover the various types and aspects of gas compressors from concept to field applications. The emphasis will focus on practical matters such as compressor selection and testing. The workshop will also address some of the implementation issues for projects involving gas compressors.
This conference is intended for process, mechanical and facilities engineers, as well as operations and maintenance staff. The workshop is also useful to project engineers and managers who are interested in enhancing or refreshing their knowledge of gas compression.
