Compressed Air Best Practices? magazine appoints new Sales Manager

Chris Downs will be joining Compressed Air Best Practices? Magazine as the publication’s new Sales Manager. With more than 25 years of experience in the air compressor industry, Downs will be responsible for print, e-newsletter, website advertising sales, and for Webinar and Seminar sponsorships.
Downs has a comprehensive knowledge of the compressed air industry — from both the manufacturing and distribution perspectives. During his career with Quincy Compressor, Downs held varying positions of increasing responsibilities, including Training Manager, Director of Aftermarket, Director of Sales – East Region, and Director of National Accounts. He also has experience on the distributor/direct sales channel side of the business, having worked for one of Sullair’s largest distributors, Blake & Pendleton, prior to joining Quincy.
In his role as Sales Manager, Downs will also help to expand?Blower & Vacuum Best Practices? Magazineand?Chiller and Cooling Best Practices? Magazine, both of which launched in 2015.
Downs has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC). He also attended the University of Texas at Austin, majoring in civil engineering prior to transferring to UTC.
