Top safety accreditation success for BOGE
December 22, 2016
BOGE Compressors, a leading supplier of industrial compressed air systems, has won renewal of its Safecontractor accreditation for its commitment to achieving excellence in health and safety.
Under the Safecontractor scheme, businesses undergo a vetting process that examines health and safety procedures and their track record for safe practice. Accredited companies that meet high standards are included on a database, allowing client-organisations who sign up to the scheme to vet potential contractors before they even set foot on site.
This is the tenth year in a row that BOGE has earned Safecontractor accreditation, highlighting its commitment to and prioritisation of health and safety. The company takes great pride in considering risk management and worker safety on every project it’s involved in and takes the necessary action to ensure any risk to employees is at an absolute minimum at all times.
“Achieving Safecontractor accreditation is essential for BOGE. Setting these high standards protects our team and it gives our customers peace of mind that we have sound health and safety policies in place,” explained Mark Whitmore, General Manager at BOGE. “It also reflects our on-going commitment to excellence in every area of our business, whether that is in health and safety, product quality or customer service.”
John Kinge, Technical Director of Safecontractor, said: "Major organisations simply cannot afford to run the risk of employing contractors who are not able to prove that they have sound health and safety policies in place.
"More companies need to understand the importance of adopting good risk management in the way that BOGE has done. The firm’s high standard has set an example which hopefully will be followed by other companies within the sector.”
